Dawn, Hospital Manager / C.V.T.


Dawn is a founding member of the East Valley Animal Clinic staff.  She started working at EVAC while she was still a student at the Medical Institute of Minnesota in 1990.  She did her internship here and accepted a position as a Certified Veterinary Technician after graduation.  Dawn also has a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls.


Dawn grew up in LaCrosse, Wisconsin with a variety of animals such as rabbits, horses, cats, and dogs.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, reading,  watching Nascar racing, and football (Dawn is a Packer Fan!).

"I like the family atmosphere of the clinic and seeing clients and their pets throughout all stages of their life,"  comments Dawn.

Dawn is amazing in that she remembers so much about our clients and their pets.
This talent makes her a resource for the rest of the staff when our memories fail us!  She is a talented technician whose experience benefits our practice, clients and their pets every day

Laura, Inventory Manager/ C.V.T.


Laura joined East Valley Animal Clinic in 2002 as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Argosy University in 2001.  She has beeen involved in veterinary medicine for the past 10 years.  Her interests are primarily small animal medicine but she also has an interest in equine medicine.

Laura is an active person.  When not at the clinic, she can be found at the gym where she works as a USA weightlifting coach and trainer.  She is active in many other sports as well.

Laura relies on her strong faith in God and says that it is this faith that is involved in everything that she does.  "It carries me through life," says Laura.

Laura's responsibilities at the clinic include managing our supplies, drugs, and inventory.  It can be a daunting task, but Laura takes great pride in doing the best job possible.  She is also a kind and compassionate veterinary technician who always puts her patient's and their owner's best interest first.

Erica, C.V.T.

Erica is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has been at East Valley Animal Clinic since 2002.  She was a student intern from the Medical Institute of Minnesota, which is now Argosy University and was hired on when she graduated. 

Erica has a love for all animals.  She has one iguana named Pico, a parrot named Homer, two cats, Simon and Henry and a cocker spaniel named Nikki.  Her husband, Kevin and her sons, Colin and Aidan try and happily coexist with her menagerie of pets.

When Erica is not taking care of her family and pets, she enjoys gardening and hiking.

Ever since Erica had Colin, she has been working at East Valley part time.  She is a great team member who is efficient and professional.







 Becky, Veterinary Assistant

  Becky has been with East Valley Animal Clinic since 2004 and is a Veterinary Assistant.  She is originally from Bismark, North Dakota.  She moved to Minnesota with her husband, Ryan, after living in Muscatine, Iowa for 3 years.

Becky and Ryan share their home with their two pugs, Stella and Gertie.  Becky has a weakness for pugs and will be happy to sing their praises to any one who ask!  She also has one cockatiel, Casey and four fish.

Becky enjoys reading, baking, gardening and enjoying her animals.  She also makes time for pug parties, which is getting together with other pug owners and enjoying watching the dogs play together. 

Becky enjoys getting to know the clients and their animals and finds this the most rewarding part of her job.  Her smile and cheerful attitude will make your visit with us a pleasant experience.






Lindsey, C.V.T.

Lindsey is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has worked at East Valley Animal Clinc since July 2005.  She started here as a student intern and was so well liked that she was hired after she graduated from Argosy University. Lindsey has been working in veterinary clinics since high school fueling her love of animals.

In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys going to concerts, watching movies, hanging out with friends, spending time with her boyfriend, Brandon,  pet sitting, and dancing.  She shares her home with Brandon and two cats, Hunni and Jude.  Hunni runs their household!

Lindsey loves working with animals at the clinic and is especially fond of our clinic cats.  She feels the atmosphere and people here are amazing.  "They have become a second family," says Lindsey.
Lindsey is a wonderful technician who cares about all her patients.  She is a great asset to our staff.



 Erin R., C.V.T.


Erin has been with East Valley Animal Clinic since April 2004.  She has worked in the veterinary field since 2000.  She is a graduate of the Medical Institute of Minnesota and is a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Erin was married in 2005 and she and her husband Tim had a daughter in 2007, named Abigail.  They share their home with their dog, Ribz, and cats, Madison and Tatu.  In her free time, Erin enjoys camping, scrapbooking, puzzles, and movies.

Erin brings a special quality to EVAC with a laugh that is loud and infectious.  She is also a wonderful, caring, dedicated technician.







Brigitte, C.V.T.

Brigitte is a Certified Veterinary Technician, who has worked at East Valley Animal Clinic since 2004.  She is a graduate of Argosy University. 

Brigitte is married, and she and her husband Nathan have a son, named Matthew and another one on the way.
She also shares her home with her two big dogs, Sherman and Rusty.  You can often find them at the area dog parks.

In her spare time. Brigitte enjoys camping, trips to the BWCA, hiking, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Brigitte brings so much to East Valley Animal Clinic.  We lovingly refer to her as "the AAHA police" as she keeps us on task with the strict quality requirements of the American Animal Hospital Association.  She also has a strong interest in dog training and animal behavior.  She is a tremendous asset to our team.


 Aimee, C.V.T.

Aimee happily joined the crew of East Valley Animal clinic in April of 2007.  She graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota, which is now Argosy University in February of 2002.

Aimee and her husband, Mike, live right in the heart of Apple Valley.  Both are originally from Prior Lake.  They share their home with Zoey, who is a fun loving crazy "chug".  She is mostly pug but does have a smidge of chihuahua in her.  Libby their four year old "dog-like" cat who loves everyone. 

Aimee enjoys the many activities that can be done in the great outdoors.  Some of her favorite activities include camping, boating/fishing, hiking, mountain biking, off-roading with her husband in his jeep, visiting state parks and national parks.

Aimee and Mike had their first baby, Heidi,  in May 2009.









Bobbie, C.V.T.

Bobbie is a Certified Veterinary Technician who joined the East Valley Animal Clinic family in January 2008.  She graduated from Argosy University in 2007.  She came to us from another clinic where she worked for 2 years during her schooling.  Bobbie completed her internship at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center.

Bobbie and her husband, Mike, live in Lakeville with their three children, Becky, Celeste, and Taylor and their German Shepherd, Abbey.  Bobbie is a hockey and soccer mom who is very active in the high school soccer community.  In her free time, Bobbie loves spending time with her family, running, rollerblading, and going to the Wild hockey games.

Bobbie recently joined B.A.R.T. as a volunteer member.  B.A.R.T. is an organization that trains firefighters and first responders how to safely and effectively rescue and handle animals in emergency situations.  Bobbie is excited to begin her training with B.A.R.T!  She is also very excited to be part of the East Valley family!







Rebecca, C.V.T.
 
Rebecca is another technician that came to East Valley Animal Clinic to complete her clinical internship from Argosy University and was so impressive that she was hired at the end of her internship.  Rebecca has been with us since January 2008.  Prior to her education for veterinary technology, Rebecca studied at Augsburg and the University of Minnesota for vocal performace.

In her spare time, Rebecca and her husband are busy with their 2 children, Dorothy and Wylie and their dogs, Rufus and Squirrel.  Rebecca enjoys the Minnesota Orchestra and attends concerts whenever she can.  She enjoys hiking on the North Shore, reading and singing.

Rebecca loves her job and it shows in the way she cares for her patients.  She has a wonderful way with her patients and has excellent technical skills.
















Erin S., C.V.T.

Erin started at East Valley Animal Clinic in September 2008 and has been a welcome addition to our staff.  Erin is a 2003 graduate of Argosy University and comes to us with a wealth of experience.  Erin brings the total of Certified Veterinary Technicians to 11!  Orginally from Minot, North Dakota, Erin and her four legged family currently live in Apple Valley.  Erin's pets include Angus, her 4 year old Boxer, and her 3 cats: Oreo, George, and Miss Oreo.

Erin is recently married and in her spare time can be found with her dog at the local dog parks.  She also enjoys spending time at home watching a good movie.  Erin is a dedicated professional who takes great care of her patients.
















Heather, C.V.T.

Heather is a certified veterinary technician who joined East Valley Animal Clinic in 2008.  She is a 2008 graduate of Argosy University and a 2004 graduate of Augsburg University.  Besides working at EVAC, Heather works full time for the Pet Poison Hotline.  She grew up in Northern Minnesota.  Currently, Heather lives with her dog Bailey and her cat Zoey.












Jackie, Groomer

Jackie has been working at East Valley Animal Clinic since 1995.  She is a very talented dog groomer.  Beginning spring of 2009, in addition to grooming, she will aslo start working at EVAC as a veterinary assistant.

Jackie grew up in Bloomington and still lives there with her husband, Tom, and her 9 year old daughter, Erin.  Her furry and scaly family includes 2 Labrador Retrievers (Sunny and Roxy), 3 cats (Lilly, Baby and LC), 1 hamster (Cookie), and several fish.  In her free time, Jackie enjoys cooking, gardening, reading and spending time with her family...furry, scaly, and human.
